The law of love that was given to us, is to love God with our entire being. Time, Treasure, Talents. We concluded the weekly reading portion of the Word of God this week, with the Ten Commandments. The number one commandment is to have no other Gods before him. The second command is to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
This is a real problem for many of us. We are told to die to ourselves on one hand daily and then to love ourselves. Facing this reality and delicate balance is challenging at best over a lifetime of learning. However,
God wants us to learn how to love what HE CREATED IN HIS IMAGE. What will you do for yourself today to reflect that he created you VERY GOOD? Once you have stepped out in faith in that aspect of Loving yourself.
Turn around and show Love to another person. Let God love you today, Love God in return, Love yourself, and then Love your neighbor.
