Our Great God

Updated: Mar 12, 2019

I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secure places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. For the sake of My servant Jacob, and Israel My chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides Me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know Me.” – Isaiah 45:2-5

The job of the enemy, in the world today, is to fool us into thinking and acting in ways that are in sharp contradiction to the Word that God has given to us. The word “world” is just one letter different than “Word”. Our goal in claiming Yeshua to be our Lord is to be able to rightly discern the differences from being in the world and not of it and being in the Word and of it.

Today, God has set before us life. We must decide whether we will choose life, love the Lord and let Him release the life inside of us that He desires to give us. The world is going to do its job in deceiving us and operating in the principles that guide its path. The Holy Spirit that is in each of us is greater than he that is in the world.

The God of Israel that formed us desires to know us and is able to give us all that we need to overcome the world. The Word is more than able to equip us in rightly discerning that path that leads to life and life more abundant.

Questions:

  • Do I know how to discern what is from God and what is not?

  • Am I following gods that are not the one true God?

  • Am I being fooled by the world to follow the ways of man?

  • Am I ready to follow the ways of God?
